The Mid-year Carnival has a strong development focus and aims to provide a carnival that allows every team, regardless of skill-level, to participate in a fun, meaningful and competitive environment.
The Carnival caters for Under 8 to Under 18 junior teams from all over South Australia and beyond, and we particularly cater for teams below SA District Division 1 level. Div 1 sides are welcome but will be graded appropriately and may play an age-grade higher to ensure for competitive games.
The Mid-year Carnival is presented by West Adelaide Bearcats Basketball Club.

All district, domestic, and school clubs are welcome to participate.

Getting started is simple. Register your team on the link above and we’ll be in touch with further details.

There is a maximum of 10 players per team.

A minimum of 4 games consisting ofr 4 × 8 minute quarters.

All players of the registered team must be in the same uniform, including playing numbers.
An alternate colour singlet should be available if there is a colour clash. In this instance, the away team will need to wear the alternate colour.

Yes, division 1 players are eligible to play but are required to play up an age group.
